Meet your physio Ellie Yuen

BSc (Hons) MCSP MPOGP MAACP iTEC Dip

My journey into physiotherapy began at 10, after ankle tendon surgery showed me the transformative power of rehabilitation. By 16, I was working as a Physio Assistant alongside my studies, committed to helping others regain confidence in their bodies.

After graduating from the University of East Anglia in 2021, I built my career within the NHS, progressing to Senior Specialist and gaining extensive experience in complex conditions.

Over time, I recognised a clear gap in pelvic health care. Many people with complex pelvic health issues were not receiving the thorough, hands-on support they needed. System pressures often limit detailed assessment, manual therapy, and open conversations about bladder and bowel health which are issues central to quality of life.

That's why my service, Ellie Yuen Physio, was developed in July 2023.

Common Questions

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No referral is needed. You can book directly with Ellie.

Is an internal examination required?

Only if you are comfortable and it's beneficial for your diagnosis. An internal exam can provide valuable information about pelvic floor function, but it is always your choice and never mandatory. We'll discuss what's best for you.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your condition and goals. Many clients notice improvement within 3-6 sessions. We'll give you a realistic timeline after your assessment and regularly review your progress.

How much would it cost?

The initial consultation is £96. Follow up sessions are £72 (45 mins) or £80(60 mins).

It is important to view this not as a "one-off" consultation, but as a vital investment in your long-term recovery. Unlike a general check-up, the initial assessment is the foundation of a structured treatment plan.

Clinical evidence shows that achieving meaningful, lasting change in pelvic health typically requires a commitment of 3 to 6 sessions. This allows us to move beyond temporary relief and work toward a permanent solution for your comfort and control.

What do I need to bring or wear?

Wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows easy movement. If you have any relevant medical notes or reports, feel free to bring them along.

Who can benefit from pelvic health physiotherapy?

Ellie treats both men and women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, including those recovering from pregnancy, dealing with incontinence, or managing chronic pelvic pain.

Reclaim Your Comfort and Confidence

Stop settling for "normal" and start your journey toward lasting relief. Whether you're ready to begin treatment or just want to chat through your options, I'm here to help you bridge the gap to better health.
